Pamela Scott

34 Years Young!

“Pamela Scott began by offering Irish women access to high-fashion looks at great prices. Thirty four years on and we are still serving customers who have been with us from the beginning while attracting a whole new customer with a range of new contemporary brands.”  Robert Barron.

Pamela Scott has a special place in the hearts of fashion - conscious Irish women.  For over 30 years they have provided the renowned and the everyday Irish woman with debs dresses, bridesmaids dresses, interview suits, party clothes, high fashion casual wear and all the accessories that go with it.  In 2010, they continue to dress at least 3 generations of women nationwide from head to toe for every kind of major occasion as well as everyday events.

Flairline opened the original 3,500 sq ft Pamela Scott store on Grafton Street in 1976 but in 1987 fire completely destroyed the original two-story shop. Undeterred, the Barron’s re-opened for business 10 days later on a temporary site 10 doors up, and in 1989 opened their revamped new 14,000 sq ft Pamela Scott store which still stands today.

34 years later Pamela Scott continues to trade successfully against the multinationals year after year, by constantly modernising and adding new younger labels without ever alienating its traditional, loyal customer base.

Since then, a further 17 Pamela Scott stores have opened, including the latest in Charlestown Shopping Centre, Finglas in July 2010.

The popular Blanchardstown SC outlet was opened in 1999; followed in 2000 by the Frascati SC, Blackrock, Co Dublin. In 2001, Flairline launched stores in the Pavilion SC in Swords, Co. Dublin and the Crescent SC in Dooradoyle, Limerick.  Further outlets opened in John Roberts Square, Waterford in 2002; and Central Plaza in Tralee and Fairgreen SC, Carlow in 2003.  Mahon Point Sc, Co Cork; Scotch Hall, Drogheda, and Dundrum SC launched in 2005. In 2007 they opened Pamela Scott stores in the Johnstown Court, Sligo and the Bridgewater Town Centre, Arklow Co Wicklow.

In the past couple of years Pamela Scot has continued to expand opening a hugely successful store in the Showgrounds SC, Clonmel in October 2009 and the opening of a regional flagship store in Limerick city in late 2008.  They also opened Pamela Scott Stillorgan in November 2009 and Pamela Scott in Cork City in December 2009.
